== California privacy rights == Where the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies to Wikifacta’s processing, eligible California residents may have the right to: * know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected; * know the categories of sources from which information was collected; * know the purposes for which information is used; * know the categories of third parties to which information is disclosed; * request deletion, subject to legal exceptions; * request correction of inaccurate personal information; * opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; * limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information; and * receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable rights. Wikifacta does not sell personal information for money as of the effective date of this policy. Wikifacta also does not intentionally share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. A California resident may submit a request by emailing [mailto:info@wikifacta.org info@wikifacta.org] with the subject line “California Privacy Request.” The request should explain the right the individual wishes to exercise and provide enough information for Wikifacta to locate relevant records. Wikifacta may request reasonable identity verification before disclosing, correcting, or deleting information. An authorized agent may make a request where permitted by law. Wikifacta may require evidence of the agent’s authority and may verify the request directly with the consumer. Information about California privacy rights is available from the [https://oag.ca.gov/privacy/ccpa California Attorney General].
