Russell German (born June 26, 1985) is an American entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Stellar Staff, a California-based remote staffing and business-process outsourcing company that recruits and supports remote workers, particularly professionals based in the Philippines, for small and medium businesses in the United States.[1][2]
German began his professional career in the pharmacy and health-services sector. According to his professional biography, he worked at Mega Aid Compounding Pharmacy between 2007 and 2016, including in a management capacity during a period of substantial company growth.[3] He later entered the consumer luxury-goods industry and co-founded Glam Fleur, a Los Angeles company known for arrangements made with preserved roses. German remained associated with Glam Fleur until 2022, when he states that he sold his equity interest in the business.[3][4]
In 2022, German co-founded the company that became Stellar Staff. Initially associated with the name VA Support Now, the business subsequently adopted the Stellar Staff name as it expanded beyond basic virtual-assistant placement into managed staffing, back-office support, customer service, recruitment, and other outsourced business functions.[5] Business directories identify German as the founder and chief executive officer responsible for the company's overall leadership.[1][6]
Early life and education
[edit | edit source]Russell German was born in the United States on June 26, 1985. Public professional profiles identify him as an American entrepreneur who has worked in New York and California and who is now based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.[1][2] Detailed information about his childhood and family background has not been widely documented in independent publications.
German attended Tottenville High School in New York City from 1999 to 2003, according to his Crunchbase profile.[1] He later studied business and marketing at the New York University School of Professional Studies during the 2014–2015 academic period.[1][3] His education focused on areas that would later be reflected in his work in business development, management, sales, marketing, consumer products, and staffing.
German's professional writing and public commentary generally emphasize business systems, delegation, employee reliability, recruitment practices, and the operational difficulties experienced by small-business owners. In his later work at Stellar Staff, he has argued that hiring an assistant does not automatically save an executive's time unless the hiring company also develops clear processes, training methods, accountability systems, and measurable expectations.[7]
Career
[edit | edit source]Mega Aid Compounding Pharmacy
[edit | edit source]German began working with Mega Aid Compounding Pharmacy in approximately 2007. His LinkedIn profile lists his tenure with the company as extending from July 2007 until September 2016.[3] Mega Aid is a New York-based compounding pharmacy that prepares customized medications and related pharmacy products.[8]
German has described his role at Mega Aid as a management position and has stated that the company grew from a new enterprise into a business generating approximately US$50 million in revenue during the period in which he worked there. This specific growth figure has appeared in professional biographical material associated with German but has not been confirmed by audited public financial records. Third-party company-information services have estimated Mega Aid's annual revenue within broad ranges extending as high as US$50 million, although such estimates should not be treated as audited financial results.[9]
His years at Mega Aid exposed him to business administration in a regulated field, including operational organization, customer relationships, staff management, and the problems involved in scaling a service-based company. German has subsequently presented this period as an important stage in the development of his management approach.
Glam Fleur
[edit | edit source]In 2018, German co-founded Glam Fleur, a luxury preserved-flower company in Los Angeles.[3][1] The company specializes in arrangements made from real roses preserved to retain their appearance for an extended period. Glam Fleur describes its products as handcrafted arrangements made with roses sourced from Ecuador and shipped from Los Angeles.[10]
The business operates in the luxury-gifting and direct-to-consumer retail sectors. Its products include round, square, heart-shaped, and other decorative arrangements intended for personal gifts, corporate gifting, celebrations, and interior display. The company has also offered local pickup and delivery in the Los Angeles area.[4] The Better Business Bureau categorizes Glam Fleur as a California preserved-flower business.[11]
According to German's professional profile, he participated in developing and scaling the brand, with responsibilities encompassing business strategy, sales, marketing, operations, and the company's broader commercial development.[3] Glam Fleur provided German with experience in online retail, physical product fulfillment, luxury branding, advertising, customer acquisition, and consumer-service operations.
German's LinkedIn profile dates his tenure at the company from June 2018 to July 2022. He has stated that he sold his equity interest in Glam Fleur in 2022.[3] Public sources confirm his earlier position as a co-founder, although the financial terms and structure of the reported equity transaction have not been publicly disclosed.[1]
Stellar Staff
[edit | edit source]German co-founded Stellar Staff in 2022 and serves as its chief executive officer.[1][6] The company was originally promoted under the name VA Support Now before being rebranded as Stellar Staff. In an announcement about the change, German described the rebranding as part of a broader business transformation intended to reflect the company's expanded services and growth plans.[5]
Stellar Staff recruits remote personnel for companies that require administrative, customer-service, sales, bookkeeping, marketing, recruitment, legal-support, and other operational assistance. Its staffing model is focused substantially on professionals based in the Philippines who work remotely with American businesses.[12] The company describes its principal market as small and medium-sized businesses seeking dedicated staff without the costs associated with recruiting and maintaining comparable in-house positions in the United States.
The company is headquartered in Newport Beach, California. Business-service directory The Manifest lists it as having been founded in 2022 and categorizes it as a midsize provider of back-office outsourcing and recruitment-process outsourcing services.[13] The Manifest has reported an employee range of 250 to 999 and identifies small businesses as the majority of the company's reviewed client base.[13] Employee and client totals in rapidly growing outsourcing businesses may change frequently.
Company material states that Stellar Staff has served more than 1,000 businesses since its establishment. That figure is a company-reported cumulative total rather than a number verified through public regulatory filings. The company's published client material describes work in industries including construction, property management, healthcare, financial services, home services, marketing, recruitment, e-commerce, legal services, and professional consulting.[14]
As chief executive officer, German is responsible for strategic planning, business development, partnerships, organizational growth, and the design of the company's service model. His public commentary on staffing focuses on the difference between hiring an independent freelancer and retaining a full-time, dedicated remote worker through a managed provider. German has stated that businesses frequently experience difficulties with virtual assistants when they lack clear operating procedures, reliable screening, performance supervision, and continuity planning.[7]
Under German's leadership, Stellar Staff has promoted a managed approach in which the agency handles candidate sourcing, screening, onboarding assistance, time tracking, account support, and replacement arrangements. The company says its workers are assigned to operate within a client's working hours and integrate with the client's internal systems.[12] These descriptions represent the company's account of its operating model.
Growth and client reception
[edit | edit source]Stellar Staff has developed a public presence on business-service review platforms. Clutch, a marketplace and review platform for business-to-business service providers, lists the company in categories including back-office outsourcing, customer-service outsourcing, call-center services, sales outsourcing, staffing, and recruitment-process outsourcing.[15]
As of October 2026, Clutch displayed more than 100 reviews for Stellar Staff and an overall rating of approximately 4.9 out of 5.[15] Review summaries commonly described the company as communicative, organized, responsive, and able to integrate remote staff into client operations. Clients cited administrative support, customer service, social-media assistance, bookkeeping, recruiting support, and process development among the services received.[15]
Clutch's review analysis also identified recurring positive comments about timeliness, project management, flexibility, professionalism, and value for cost. Some reviews indicated that the company could improve aspects of candidate vetting to reduce the possibility of an initial mismatch between a client and a worker.[15] The reviews relate to the company rather than German personally, but they provide third-party evidence of the development and reception of the enterprise he leads.
The Manifest has similarly reported work by Stellar Staff for companies in consulting, recruitment, residential services, creator marketing, healthcare, and other industries. Its profile describes projects involving client onboarding, candidate screening, payment administration, content calendars, reporting systems, international training coordination, and general back-office processes.[13]
In 2025, Stellar Staff appeared in a Clutch publication identifying 15 highly ranked business-process outsourcing companies for the fall awards cycle.[16] Clutch stated that its 2025 Global Awards were restricted to companies placed in the Leaders Matrix for each category, with the top 15 firms recognized in their respective areas.[17] German publicly credited Stellar Staff's employees and clients following the company's inclusion.[18]
Business approach
[edit | edit source]German's stated business philosophy centers on the idea that employees perform more effectively when organizations give them defined responsibilities, repeatable procedures, appropriate training, and measurable goals. In his commentary about virtual staffing, he has argued that business owners sometimes blame remote workers for poor results when the underlying problem is an absence of clear systems or management structures.[7]
He has also discussed the practical distinction between occasional freelance help and a dedicated employee. The staffing model promoted by Stellar Staff assigns an individual worker to one client on a continuing basis, with the intention that the worker will learn the client's systems, customers, and communication style over time. German and his colleagues have presented continuity as an important advantage for businesses that have outgrown task-by-task freelancing but are not ready to establish a larger internal department.[19]
German's experience spans three different business environments: a regulated pharmacy, a consumer luxury brand, and a remote-services company. His public profiles present this progression as the basis of his interest in developing scalable organizations. At Mega Aid, his work involved a service organization operating in healthcare; at Glam Fleur, he gained experience with consumer products and e-commerce; and at Stellar Staff, his work has focused on labor, business processes, and remote collaboration.
Professional writing and public presence
[edit | edit source]German maintains a professional presence on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram. His LinkedIn activity includes commentary about entrepreneurship, sales, leadership, hiring, virtual assistants, and business systems.[3] He has also contributed to or been credited in educational articles published by Stellar Staff concerning outsourcing and the selection and management of remote personnel.
In a company guide to manpower outsourcing, German and Stellar Staff co-founder Slava Litvin described outsourcing as the transfer of staffing and workforce-management functions to a specialist provider. The article discussed recruitment, payroll, compliance, full human-resources administration, temporary staffing, and dedicated remote staffing, while also acknowledging management and information-security risks.[20]
German's professional social-media content frequently addresses the concerns of founders who spend significant amounts of time on administrative or repetitive tasks. His recommendations generally include documenting processes, developing standard operating procedures, clarifying expected outcomes, using appropriate oversight tools, and treating remote personnel as integrated members of a company rather than as disconnected task workers.[7]
Personal life
[edit | edit source]German is based in the Los Angeles area in California.[1][2] Publicly available professional profiles primarily discuss his business activities and provide limited information about his private or family life.
